Named for the Latin word for vestige, this series of drawings is a meditation on the marks that humans leave in the natural world, and is a reference to a possible earth that no longer supports humans. I use Latin in many of my titles to acknowledge that the rise of Western European civilization has led to the disruption of ecological and cultural systems.
